RAiSE celebration event, The Wood Foundation

On a mission to take science and technology out of the lab, actor and presenter Dallas Campbell – known for hosting Science of Stupid and Bang Goes the Theory – will deliver an inspiring workshop about space at our upcoming RAiSE Expo – Celebrating the Learning, Inspiring the Future: The RAiSE Legacy.

RAiSE (Raising Aspirations in Science Education) – a programme of Education Scotland, The Wood Foundation, Scottish Government, and participating local authorities – empowered primary teachers with the confidence, skills and networks to develop and deliver motivating and exciting STEM opportunities.

The upcoming event, which will take place across two sessions on Wednesday 21 May at The Social Hub in Glasgow, is our chance to celebrate the impact of this 10-year investment which has engaged 27 of Scotland’s 32 local authorities.

As a passionate STEM ambassador, Dallas is involved with many science outreach initiatives, inspiring young minds to think creatively about technology.

In addition to his talk about space travel, AI and future technology, attendees will be able to take part in a range of professional learning workshops and discover the story of RAiSE from its inception.

The free event is also a great opportunity to connect with the RAiSE team and key partners to inspire future learning.
