As we near the conclusion of our decade-long investment RAiSE (Raising Aspirations in Science Education), we invite you to join us at the RAiSE Expo – Celebrating the Learning, Inspiring the Future: The RAiSE Legacy.
This free event, designed for primary practitioners, will take place on Wednesday 21 May across two sessions. It will feature an inspiring keynote speaker, a showcase of the RAiSE journey from its inception, and opportunities to connect with the RAiSE team and key partners to inspire future learning.
From “STEM through Nature” and “The Weird and Wonderful World of Mosquitoes” to “Songs, Rhymes and Outdoor Learning”, there will also be a wide range of professional learning events on offer. Attendees will be able to select workshops of their choice during the booking process.

RAiSE is a programme of Education Scotland, The Wood Foundation, Scottish Government, and participating local authorities to empower primary teachers with the confidence, skills, and networks to develop and deliver motivating and exciting #STEM opportunities.
Primary Science Development Officers (PSDOs) are deployed in each active local authority, funded for a period of two years by the RAiSE investment, to lead upon professional learning and network capacity building.
RAiSE has engaged 27 of Scotland’s 32 local authorities and will conclude working with its final cohort in June 2025.
