As a philanthropic organisation, we are always proud to see our colleagues go above and beyond for important causes, and we are pleased to back their efforts with match funding.
In the last two months, we contributed an additional £500 to three deserving charities, supporting our team’s commitment to making a difference.
Heather took on a marathon hike along the Rob Roy Way to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support which provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.
Lucia participated in the MS Walk in Glasgow, raising awareness and funds for MS Society which funds research and empowers people affected by MS to live their best lives.
Carolyn ran a half marathon as part of the Great Scottish Run 2024 to support Endometriosis UK, a charity dedicated to providing resources, treatment, and support for those living with this chronic condition.
Alison MacLachlan, The Wood Foundation’s UK Director, said: “We are all very proud of Heather, Lucia and Carolyn. It is inspiring to see our colleagues go the extra mile, both figuratively and literally, for such meaningful causes. By supporting their fundraising efforts with match funding, we hope to amplify their contributions and make an even greater impact together.”
